Free Trade Alliance Brings New Company to San Antonio
San Antonio, TX – The Free Trade Alliance has secured a contract with the Mexican company, Bufete de Asesoría y Servicios Especializados S.A. de C.V. (BASE) to join its International Business Development Center (IBDC). The IBDC is a business accelerator managed by the Alliance that provides support to foreign companies seeking to establish or expand the market for their products in the United States and North America. BASE extracts calcium carbonate as a raw material from the mountains of Torreon, Coahuila, which is then sold and used as a raw material in over fifty applications. Calcium carbonate is basically crushed marble. The company plans to start selling to construction businesses and marble companies. Although marble is not in demand right now, the crushed calcium carbonate is in demand in its raw form. They will begin operations in San Antonio, Texas and have plans to eventually expand to other cities in Texas.
As part of the IBDC, located at Port San Antonio, BASE will have access to the Alliance’s expertise as well as legal and financial guidance from local law firms, accounting firms and financial institutions to support and build the company’s San Antonio presence and contribute to the San Antonio economy. Bufete de Asesoria y Servicios Especializados S.A. de C.V. joins 18 other companies currently part of the Alliance’s International Business Development Center.
